Clearview Veterinary Hospital is the greater New Orleans area’s premier boutique medical facility for your pets - we specialize in one-on-one attention and creating a small, comfortable and welcoming community of pets and owners who come back to us time and time again. We want to develop a relationship with you and your pet - if you are looking for personalized attention, we’re the perfect fit!
Our extensive laboratory can provide us with vital information on your pet within minutes so that treatment can be started without delay. We have the equipment and expertise to run complete blood counts (CBC), blood chemistries, electrolytes, thyroid, heartworm antigen tests, and urinalysis.
We maintain a clean, comfortable and well-equipped pet care facility in a safe and convenient location in the heart of Metairie.
Our hospital is dedicated to providing your pets with comprehensive medical and surgical care.
Preventive health care includes periodic physical examinations, vaccinations, dental care, wellness screening, prevention and treatment of heartworms, intestinal worms, and external parasites. We also provide nutritional and behavioral counseling.
A modern in-hospital laboratory provides results of complete blood counts, serum chemistries, electrolytes, and thyroid screening in less than one hour. Pre-anesthetic blood testing is recommended for pets having surgery.
We perform in-hospital tests for Feline leukemia Virus, Feline Immunodeficiency Virus, heartworm antigen, Parvovirus, and intestinal parasites. Other diagnostic services available include urinalysis, biopsies, bacterial and fungal cultures, radiographs, and electrocardiograms.
Surgeries are performed here with the most up to date anesthesia and monitoring equipment. Orthopedic and complex surgeries are performed by a specialist in veterinary surgery. If he is unavailable, patients will be referred to a specialty hospital. We work closely with several specialists in the area, including internal medicine, oncology, dermatology, and surgery.
Your pet will be examined by a doctor at least twice daily, more frequently if the condition warrants it. Veterinary assistants will monitor your pet’s condition throughout the day. Food will be supplied by us unless otherwise indicated.
When your pet is ready to be discharged, an appointment will be made so that the doctor can explain any medication and after-care instructions as well as answer your questions.
You are encouraged to call to check on your pet’s progress during regular office hours.
If you have an emergency after regular hospital hours, please call Southeast Veterinary Specailists at 504-219-0444 or Riverlands Animal Hospital at 985-652-6369.
